Not enough options in your poll. I'm not afraid of them as long they don't appear unexpectedly in front of my face or other parts of the body. Even then it's only "Oh, a spider".
At least here in Europe, this might be different in Australia or other countries where there are seriously dangerous spiders.

I wouldn't have a spider for a pet for the same reasons I wouldn't have any other pet, at least curently: I wouldn't be able to give it the care and attention it needs due to other commitments.

i've never been a huge fan of spiders, bugs, anything that crawls.. etc. however, i think my fate was sealed when i saw a movie called "arachnophobia" when i was like 9 or 10.

to enforce this point, i found a whole bunch of ants in my kitchen earlier(completely harmless, but they crawl!) and totally freaked out. i killed them with wasp/hornet spray. a little overkill, i know, but it was all i had heh.
